Permit and Assessment

Significance, siting and design.

Alterations and extensions to properties affected by the Heritage Overlay are assessed with particular regard to the significance of the place, its contribution to the surrounding precinct, and the extent to which the proposal respects that significance in its siting, scale and design. Comparable considerations of character and built form arise under other overlays.

We coordinate heritage advice and architectural design so that each application responds to these matters from the outset, presenting a considered submission to the responsible authority in support of the outcome sought.
